Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines

  • Manuscripts should be 1.5 line spaced and typed in an 11-point font with 2.5 cm margins. Manuscript pages should be numbered.
  • Authors should follow the American Psychological Association (APA), 7th edition, citation and referencing style. Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and consistency of citations and references.
  • Article manuscripts should include a 200-word abstract concentrating on the main ideas (together with an abstract in Arabic) and about 7 keywords that would lead online research to the article.
  • Authors should send a written statement that their articles have not been published, or submitted for publication, to any other journal.
  • Letters of acknowledgment, acceptance or rejection will be sent to contributors.
  • Accepted manuscripts are published based on the date of final acceptance for publication.

Manuscript Length

  • Research articles should normally be 4,000–8,000 words, excluding references.
  • Book reviews should normally be 1,500–3,000 words.
  • Manuscripts substantially exceeding or falling below the specified range may be considered at the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief.

Languages of Publication

MASRAB accepts manuscripts primarily in Arabic and English. Manuscripts in French and other foreign languages may also be considered, subject to the approval of the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board. Articles published in languages other than English should include an English title and abstract.

Publication Fees

  • MASRAB currently charges no article processing fees or publication fees.
  • The journal may introduce publication fees in the future. Any such fees will be clearly announced on the journal website in advance and will not be applied retroactively to manuscripts already accepted for publication.
  • Editorial decisions are independent of authors' ability to pay publication fees.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The manuscript is original, has not been published before, and is not under consideration by any other journal (a written statement is included with the submission).
  • Research articles are 4,000–8,000 words and book reviews 1,500–3,000 words, excluding references.
  • The manuscript includes a 200-word abstract, an abstract in Arabic, and about 7 keywords. Manuscripts not written in English include an English title and abstract.
  • The text is 1.5 line spaced, in an 11-point font, with 2.5 cm margins and numbered pages.
